My Heritage my future.

Hi Friends

The world we live in has brought upon many changes into our lives , everything that does not have a price tag is considered to be worthless .

In my south Africa money is regarded as the source of life and nothing else seems to matter not even life itself . Maybe money has become our heritage.

Look around from our traditional elders to our church elders , look from our political leaders to our community leaders , look at the celebrities .

What value will they pass on to the next generation , greed? Do we still know where we come from ? Do we still think we know where we are going?

Through out generations and generations there once was a place called Maphungubwe , we learn it is a place that was rich in gold ,

a place where kings where honoured . That place is our heritage as south Africans because it gives us a great resemblance that we have a rich or wealthy history.

Young people need to understand that our heritage is what we are and who we truly are , we need to stop making our latest discovery to define who we are.

We should know our roots . The best way to do that is by taking at least one day out of this month to find out who you are and where you come from.

Our heritage as south Africans can be seen from our diverse cultures ,crafts and even the food .

So for once this month how about you take one night and remain indoors and try cook your traditional food,

forget your favourite restaurants and all the fast food. Wear atleast something that resembles your culture.

It may sound stupid and lame to our young friends but by so doing we can be able to have a good history and values we can pass to

the next generation just like our ancestors have passed their values to us .

Civilisation is stupid if we don't know who we are and where we come from .

Learning foreign languages and forgetting your own language is senseless ,

adapting someones tradition and values and forgetting yours is an embarrassment to our ancestors

message of the day : know where you come from and you will know where you are going.

Track of the day: mi casa - these streets
